• Founder, Le Gourmet Getaway

Florence grew up in the center of Paris and spent most of her summers in a small fishing village on the coast of western Brittany. She briefly lived in Provence before moving with her husband to the US. They have lived in Chicago, Minneapolis, and now settled in Raleigh, North Carolina with their 4 hungry teenagers and an escape artist dog named Polo.

Florence created a company to bring authentic French cuisine to people in the US, her company is called Sucre & Sel which translates to “sugar and salt”. These important ingredients are all about balancing flavors and bringing life to food. Florence caters private dinners, buffets as well as teaches cooking classes. She frequently travels back to France to visit family and friends and recently furthered her talents with French Cuisine at FERRANDI, a leading culinary school in Europe.

In 2022, she created le Gourmet Getaway to share her love of France and to bring people on a unique adventure into the heart of French culinary culture and lifestyle as we say in France, savoir-vivre, which means “Art of living”

  • Tour Manager, Finding France

Of French origin, I was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (just like Louis XIV). I've worked in several museums in Paris, including the Louvre, and also spent six years in a Parisian travel agency. I have a passion for adventure and exploration, and I love introducing our travelers to a side of France that goes beyond the typical tourist paths. I have had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout our continent as well as in Asia, and I particularly appreciate Japanese culture.

My hope for travelers: I want their experience in France to be different from what they had imagined and to exceed their expectations. I believe in a well-organized itinerary that still allows for a sense of freedom, so they can experience the authentic aspects of our country and have opportunities for meaningful encounters.

  • Founder & CEO, Finding France

A French native and born in the city of Nantes in western France, I love taking travelers off the beaten path in my country. I have traveled extensively and previously lived in the United States, Ireland, Australia, and Chile. I have a deep understanding of foreigners’ expectations - customer service and attention to detail are essentials for me. If our travelers are happy and completely satisfied, I’ve fulfilled my mission. Before creating Finding France, I also worked as a tour guide for an incoming travel agency based in Paris and as an event planner for individuals and companies. I hold a Master’s degree in management.

My advice for travelers: Immerse yourself into the French culture. Don’t try to do everything. Spend time with the locals and share authentic experiences with those you meet.
