Suzanne joined us last June, she travelled extensively before and shares today how different this trip has been for her.

“We had 12 days of wonderful new experiences. We came as a group of three friends and made eleven new friends. We ate new foods, challenged our skills and learned new ones, met talented and innovative creators making big impacts on their industries. We walked many miles every day experiencing Paris and Brittany through the eyes and lives of those who live and love these amazing places - hearing the stories, seeing the work spaces and environments that inspire them, and always accompanied by the foods that are such an important part of each neighborhood, community and region. This was an amazing experience I will never forget.” Julie MacLeod

“The mind blowing moments that I never would have been able to do alone are the baking class we had in Paris - to describe it feels like you are on food network and you drop into luxury - And the personal relationships with the food producers in Brittany”.

This trip exceeded my expectations ! I knew from the start we were in for an unforgettable introduction to France. Florence and Bridget made the magic happen, and the fun and new friendships are priceless!!

“The Gourmet Getaway was a fantastic experience. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the people in our group as well as those we met along the way. (And we met a lot of people, including tour guides, chefs, farmers of vegetables, herbs, flowers and seaweed, fishermen, inn keepers, shop owners and bus drivers, just to name a few.) I found it amazing and comforting to meet people from near and far that came together so happily and effortlessly. It was refreshing for my soul! I had countless memorable experiences and learned so much in the process. And the food was divine!!”

“Le Gourmet Getaway” was WONDERFUL! It combined a taste of both French city life in Paris and life in the smaller towns and villages in the countryside. With wine tastings and cheese pairings, stops in the finest patisseries and chocolate shops, delicious meals, visits to farms and markets for the freshest of produce from regional farmers, a champagne cruise on the Seine and a cooking class in a real French Cooking school, Florence left no stone unturned in this culinary tour! This trip was wonderful, to be able to see the “Best” of a region, through the eyes of a French-born citizen, who is fluent in both French and English! I would absolutely “hop the pond” and travel with Florence again! It really was a “Bon Voyage!” Now, I just need to practice my crepe making skills! Cathy Monagan

Florence’s caring personality, local knowledge and interests really made this trip a very special treat.
