Itinerary Provence - September - October 2026

    Day 1 - Welcome to Provence!

    Our private drivers will meet you at Aix TGV train station or in Marseille International Airport (MRS).

    Unpack, get settled and enjoy glass of wine by the pool.

    Meet around the amazing pool for dinner and drinks, Domaine La Parpaille with Eve owner of this beautiful property.

    On the first evening, with our guides we will engage in an enjoyable discussion about the key elements that define French culture.

    Day 2 - Villages of Lubéron

    Morning Breakfast at our guesthouse, then enjoy a leisurely morning before heading to Ansouis for a private visit of the XII-century castle. Stroll through the charming village of Ansouis, visiting a traditional soap factory and the atelier of Daniel Galli, France's most renowned santon maker.

    Lunch Return to our guesthouse for lunch.

    Afternoon Continue to the picturesque villages of Lourmarin and Cucuron for more stories, local discoveries, and a little shopping.

    Aperitif Discover regional wines in an authentic cellar with wine specialist Denis, who'll share both the art of tasting and the traditions behind each pour.

    Dinner Chef Pascal from Saveur Provence will prepare a three-course meal showcasing some of the finest ingredients Provence has to offer.

    Day 3 - Marseille and sunset cruise in Iles Frioul

    Morning Breakfast at our guesthouse, then choose your morning adventure: relax by the pool, create your own pottery with a local artisan, or stroll through the vibrant farmers market in nearby Cucuron.

    Lunch We'll drive to Marseille for lunch at a traditional restaurant, where you'll savor bouillabaisse — the iconic Provençal fish stew that defines this Mediterranean port city.

    Afternoon Take a private tour of Marseille, exploring its iconic sights, including the bustling Vieux-Port and Notre-Dame de la Garde, the golden basilica perched high above the city.

    Dinner As the sun begins to set, sail aboard a historic XVIII-century Tartane sailboat. You'll have the chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Calanques near the Frioul Islands, or simply enjoy the stunning views with a glass of chilled rosé in hand. Dinner will be served on board.

    Day 4 - Arles, St Rémy de Provence and Saint-Paul de Mausole

    Morning Breakfast at our guest house , then head to the enchanting streets of St-Rémy-de-Provence, nestled at the foot of the Alpilles mountains. On Wednesdays, experience the vibrant weekly market — a sensory feast of local produce, lavender, and artisan goods. Wander the plane tree-lined boulevards where Van Gogh once found inspiration in the Provençal light.

    Lunch Head to Arles for lunch at a local restaurant where Master Restaurateur Benoît Blanc prepares exquisite regional cuisine showcasing Provençal terroir.

    Afternoon Discover ancient Arles with your local guide. This UNESCO World Heritage site brings Roman history to life — explore the remarkably preserved amphitheater where gladiators battled in the 1st century AD, and walk streets that inspired Van Gogh's most vibrant paintings.

    Dinner Return to our guesthouse for a cooking session with Florence, learning to prepare traditional Provençal dishes that we'll enjoy at Friday's farewell buffet. Tonight, savor a three-course dinner by Chef Pascal.

    Day 5 - Aix-en-Provence

    Morning Breakfast at our guesthouse, then head to Aix-en-Provence, the artistic heart of Provence. Explore the vibrant farmers' market with your guide, selecting fresh, seasonal produce for this evening's cooking challenge.

    Lunch Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hôtel de Caumont, one of Aix's most prestigious historic residences.

    Afternoon Stroll through the beautiful, sun-dappled streets of Aix-en-Provence with your private guide Katrin or Denis, discovering the elegant boulevards, hidden fountains, and café culture that inspired Cézanne.

    Dinner Back at the guesthouse, everyone rolls up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking session. Using the fresh market ingredients we gathered earlier, you'll create a delicious multi-course Provençal dinner together.

    Day 6 - Avignon and Châteauneuf-du-Pape

    Morning Breakfast at our guesthouse, then head to Avignon, the "City of the Popes" in the heart of the Rhône Valley. Enjoy a walking tour with your local guide Katrin through this beautiful fortified city, exploring its medieval streets and papal palace.

    Lunch Enjoy a warm, home-cooked lunch with winemaker Julien from Lou Fréjau at his Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate, paired with his exceptional wines.

    Afternoon Venture deeper into wine country to explore Châteauneuf-du-Pape, home to one of the most revered wines in the Rhône Valley. Then discover L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the charming "Venice of Provence" with its picturesque canals and treasure trove of antique shops — a paradise for collectors and browsers alike.

    Aperitif Meet some of the region's top truffle hunters and learn about the fascinating world of black truffles, Provence's prized "black diamonds."

    Dinner Our farewell feast! Chef Florence and a special guest will prepare dinner using the incredible ingredients we've collected throughout the week. Celebrate under the stars with live local music around the pool — a perfect ending to our Provençal journey.
